Supporting NAMI's work to combat teen suicide
The Foundation is proud to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the organization’s continued work to combat teen suicide.
In June 2019, the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation helped fund a statewide expansion of Ending the Silence (ETS), a national program launched by NAMI in 2013 to educate students, staff and families about mental health conditions and suicide prevention.
“NAMI and ETS have done such important work in the field of adolescent mental health. Even in a pandemic, NAMI has expanded their reach to teach more children about mental health and reduce stigma about experiencing mental health issues.” – Bree Bess, MPA, program officer with the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation.
